MATRA http://www.matrapetroleum.com/c/Home/1.aspx MTA
See the link first. This MINNOW on the AIM
market has recently been as high at .05 pence as speculative buying took place prior to the find at Well 13. Disappointment
took the share to its present 0.015. I hold 120,000 shares averaging at about 0.025. I think I am going to make a lot of money
on this share.
MATRA (2010) has zero debt; 4.1m Euro in cash;
Well 12 is going to be put into production (I recall about 2m Euro a year - maybe more); Well 13 is said to be able to produce
110 barrels (it is a minnow) a day and at $80 a barrel these means an income of over 2m Euro, say at least 3m with both wells
going. They are also sitting on a proven field, are experienced in the Russian theatre of regulations and burocracy and
have a good management and oil expertise team. Fingers, nay legs, crossed. (April 2011):
Both wells are now producing oil in winter conditions with some attendant difficulties but are bringing up in excess of 200
bpd... this translates at 100$ (more at the moment) to a cash flow of $20,000 a day and on 300 days per year an income of
about $6M. Which is better than a cash bleed.
MAX PETROLEUM http://www.maxpetroleum.com/ MXP
I have looked over this share. You
have to go to the site for details. They have a lot of debt, but a lot of potential assetts and are more stable than MATRA.
They are working in areas where the drilling is quick and shallow as I understand it. They have been as high as 200
in mid 2007 and recently - April - over 20. They had a spurt on a promising drilling last week. I thought of getting
10,000 but decided on 2,000 to get the feel of it, but got 3000 instead (see table below). Then if they drop to 10 or so I
shall add. This appears to be a very well run organisation and will be an interesting addition to my portfolio of oil exporation
shares which is my favourite sector. Update 26th August: Their Annual Report is on their
site. I note that they have oil fields with a potential weath at today's oil prices approaching 100 billion $ - read the
report and do the sums. They already have an income of over $4m A MONTH, this at oil prices under $60 - but now the oil price
is in the 70s with a probability (I am sure in fact, but that's just me) of $100 in the next 12 months. I added a further
3000 today.
BP http://www.bp.com BP.
I am confident that BP will recover.
But perhaps not yet. News out today that the Libyan offshore drilling project is delayed until October (to be on the
safe side, no doubt) is an indicator of the widespread operations of this giant corporation. Still hold some and if they go
below 400 again I think I shall add, for the long term, b I think I am now too late.
ROCKHOPPER http://www.rockhopperexploration.co.uk/ RKH A year ago the share price of Rockhopper
Exploration was languishing in the m-thirties, and now it is trading close to 460p, having been above 500 and down
to 420, even after the setback of finding no oil at the Ernest well, but Westhouse Securities thinks it has further to go.
The broker, which specialises in resource stocks, has cut its target to 617p after what it termed “a disappointing result
at Ernest for Rockhopper”, but that still represents a target that is greater than the current share price.

NIGHTHAWK
http://www.nighthawkenergy.net/ HAWK Operating in a political and fiscal stable environment (USA) the
company has money in the bank, is debt free, and looks like being in profit in the near future. Numerous project already in
hand with several wells producing.

This is my PRESENT portfolio of OIL Shares. I make no note of very considerable success over the
last six months with the South Atlantic shares - about 20K profits, but start from where I am at, which is all that
actually matters. Note: any deals done are shown in the weekend after the deals.

3,310 as at 25 October These
shares originally, like MAX, bought at around 10-40p, sold at a profit, bought back on a drop originally cost £1,620 The key with oil minnows it to catch them early and risk losing everything. I have already take out £21,000 in profits. At the beginning of the year this company was worth around 50 million and is now estimated to be worth 10 BILLION
in proven resources according to my own calculations, and that is just from one well. However it does appear the executives
are giving themselves bonus upon bonus out of money actually thus far raised out of punters' cash. I have got out.

5,843 as
at 25th October Original cost was £2,692, slightly distorted because the story is the same at Rockhopper
except that the first well drilled in their prospect did not deliver. They drill again later in the year. Even
so I have already taken out about £7,000 in profit on earlier rises. I have also gone back in at lower prices hence
the rise in original costing. If they strike they should go to £3 - presently £1ish

722 (also in loss long term) as
at 25th October These were originally penny shares, fraction of penny shares, which had a big capital
restructuring. Original cost was £1,945. They are drillling off Northern Ireland so are politically stable. But no success
of any worth. But you never know. Will not add -regarded as a write-off - always the danger with oil minnows.

£8,774 as at 25th October Hard to think that this was a penny share. Held since before I can remember. Company has always been
brilliantly managed. Used to pay no dividend put gave out a 10% scrip issue year after year. Does not pay a dividend, but
may, cash rich by the looks of it. They had a major capital restructuring some years ago, and a share offer around £8
- I added then - and now they are almost £18 - on the next oil rise they will go to £20.
